Walker Comments

We are always interested in receiving feedback so that we can continually improve our led walks and the walking routes. You can leave your comments about the routes in the 'visitor book' or complete a postcard at the end of one of our led walks.

Nearly 200 walkers sent us feedback from the last walking weekend, and they told us how much they had enjoyed walking in friendly company; being led by organised and welcoming walk leaders and discovering parts of London on their doorstep they never knew existed.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how much my friend and I enjoyed the 7 mile walk we did on Saturday with walk leaders Alan and Janine, together with a group of about a dozen keen walkers. I had found out about it via Bexley Council’s website bulletin. Although cold, it was a beautiful, bright and sunny day. The walk itself was along a very picturesque route from Bexley Station to Petts Wood, ending at the entrance to Jubilee Park, but the thing that made it most interesting was the amazing in-depth knowledge of Alan the guide. Every so often he would take a break from the walk and give us information on wildlife, ecology, history, geography – we were all enthralled! I have lived in Bexley for most of my life and am a keen walker and lover of local history - but I learnt things on Saturday about my own area that I had no idea of. Please thank the walk leaders for a really fantastic day out. My friend had travelled from Chingford to walk with me and she really enjoyed herself too. And a big thank you to Transport for London and Walk London for the initiative and organisation.Chris - London Loop, section 2
