The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew are a favourite destination for many Londoners, as well as visitors to the city. They can be accessed from the Thames Path at the Brentford Gate, and are on a very attractive part of this riverside pathway.
The 300 acres of the Gardens feature a wide variety of habitats and areas of interest including greenhouses with tropical orchids and palms, various themed gardens, a peaceful lake with ornamental waterfowl, historical buildings and much more.
Kew has also played a vital role in botanical research historically and continues to do so today.
