Route Section

Capital Ring

Section 2 (Falconwood to Grove Park)

Description:

Easy walking on mainly firm ground, with a fair amount of roadwalking but passing one of the jewels of the Capital Ring: Eltham Palace.

Although this section is one of the shortest sections of the Capital Ring, a whole variety of fascinating glimpses into the past await your inspection. In contrast to the woods and commons of Section 1, this is a more open area with parks and playing fields linked by pleasant residential roads. The whole of this section is shared with the Green Chain Walk.
