Description:

This is one of the greenest parts of the Capital Ring with just a few hundred yards of road walking along the whole five miles. The walk follows an old railway line to Finsbury Park and then the 17th-century New River, designed to bring water from Amwell in Ware to New River Head in Islington, passing reservoirs and several lakes before arriving in cosmopolitan Stoke Newington.

PRACTICALITIES:

There are cafes and pubs in Crouch Hill and Stoke Newington.

Please consider the weather forecast and the type of walk you are planning to join and wear appropriate footwear and clothing. We recommend that you bring a drink as there may not always be opportunities to purchase refreshments.

Advice Note:

This walk is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs as it is mostly across fields, some of it pretty rough terrain.
