We’re sorry all places on the walk have been taken.

Leaving Greenford station, we go through nature reserves and along the canal to cross Horsenden Hill and then Harrow on the Hill, on one of the hilliest sections of the Capital Ring (section 9). Fine views over West London but strenuous climbs. At Harrow on the Hill, we have time to admire the school buildings, look round the church and visit the spot that the poet Byron loved as a schoolboy, before turning down the link path to Harrow on the Hill station.

There are toilets at the foot of Horsenden Hill, Sudbury Hill (paying) and Harrow on the Hill stations.

Cafes near Sudbury Hill station and at Harrow on the Hill (top of the hill and down by the station). Recommended that you bring water and a snack for this walk as we will only have short stops en route.

Please consider the weather forecast and the type of walk you are planning to join and wear appropriate footwear and clothing.

Advice Note:

Steep climbs (up and down) over two hills involving some steps. Rest of route is mainly level. Paths by the canal and through nature reserves may be rutted and muddy if wet.

Drop out is possible at Sudbury Hill station (Piccadilly), after c. 3 miles, missing out Harrow on the Hill.
